The open-air, wide-area stadium proved to be the ideal setting for AirPixel XT to deliver high-accuracy camera tracking, enabling GIRRAPHIC to create stunning augmented reality graphics throughout the live broadcasts.
We’re proud to see the AirPixel XT GPS camera tracking system featured at the inaugural Grand Slam Track event in Kingston, Jamaica.
The weekend marked the first commercial deployment of our new AirPixel XT system, at the opening event of the Grand Slam Track athletics series.
Our very own Jamie Bird was onsite to support the setup alongside long-standing collaborators Girraphic, working in partnership with Momentum Broadcast and Carr-Hughes Productions. AirPixel was mounted on the Steadicam and a fixed Jib throughout the event, enabling real-time AR and on-screen graphics via Vizrt.
It was an honour to support such an exciting showcase of elite athletic talent. The system will be used at all of the remaining Grand Slam Events in Miami, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
